I’ve been coming here for years and have always had good experiences, so this visit was really disappointing. I’m also not someone who usually leaves negative reviews, but this didn’t sit right with me. My hygienist told me my teeth looked good, and I’ve never had a cavity in my life, so I was surprised when Dr. Lucchese came in, quickly looked at my teeth, told the hygienist I needed fillings, and left without explaining anything, going over my X-rays, or giving me a chance to ask questions. I did ask the hygienist about it, and she explained that it wasn’t really her area of expertise, which I completely understand. That’s why it would have been helpful for the dentist to explain everything directly. It also feels like each visit now includes add-ons being recommended. Today it was a $65 electric toothbrush, which felt unnecessary. I had actually recommended this office to my boyfriend and he had a similar experience. He was told he needed two fillings at his first visit, but after getting a second opinion elsewhere he was told he didn’t need one at all. He also never received the cleaning he originally went in for and was told he’d need to come back for it, yet he was still charged for it. Since I’ve been coming here for years, I decided to give it another chance and came back for another cleaning. But when a similar situation happened to me, I felt it was best to get a second opinion and switch dentists.
I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl and I’m 20 now. I came in for a cleaning and to have my wisdom tooth looked at a few weeks back. I asked for them to remove the abscess it caused but they were more focused on my fillings. I didn’t even receive antibiotics. They said the abscess would go once the tooth was out??? Maybe that would’ve made sense if they were taking it out that day but they referred me to someone else and the abscess has since grown, my throat, neck and cheek is swollen on the side of the abscess, and I’m in so much pain at 6am while I type this. I had to call and ask for antibiotics but it shouldn’t have gotten to this point. I should’ve been taken care of when I was there, sending me home with antibiotics was obvious. The company they referred me to wouldn’t schedule me a consult until March 19th, the tooth and abscess won’t even be removed on that date. They just want to look at it. What is there to look at when I’m saying I have a huge painful oozing abscess in my mouth and I already had a consult?? I can’t believe I have to live like this another month+. Anything for them to make more money I guess
I've been to many dentist places and nothing compares to this one! They are not overly expensive, so good for someone like me who is low on money. They are kind to me and treat me great. They are fast at answering, can get me in immediately. I see them every 4 months. Only thing to warn you is if you make an appointment, be careful if you need to cancel, must do it before 24 hours is reached or you'll own 100 bucks. But everything else is great!
Went to this location because I had a broken tooth. I thought the tooth was beyond repair but the dentist insisted to try to repair the tooth. They drilled it and put a filling in it. Not to mention that it was the most painfull drilling I have even experienced because when they shot me with the Novocaine the dentist did not return to drill the tooth for 20 minutes and the Novocaine wore off by then. The tooth never healed and I was sensitive and painfull for 6 months! I returned to get a wisdom tooth pulled and made them aware of the pain and sensitivity in the broken tooth that they had tried to fix for the second time. All said and done they offered to do a root canal therapy on the broken tooth that they tried to fix after months of pain and sensitivity. I declined and told them to pull the tooth along with the wisdom tooth! So after all that they still charged me to pull the the tooth that they could not fix correctly! It also felt like every employee there was bothered by the fact that i was there for service and very rude!
Have been going to WNY Dental for 6-7 years. At this location, I called ahead to inform I would arrive late and the receptionist answered the phone with just “hello”. I arrived late but within grace period of 15 minutes at around 15 minutes. I was refused service by the receptionist. It’s very difficult at times to fit these kinds of appointments in a busy schedule (I had already rescheduled from a few weeks/month ago), and it’s nice when medical offices can be accommodating.
