I was supposed to leave for Hawaii on Saturday, but because of a toothache, I went to see a dentist on Friday. They charged me $188 for an exam but didn’t do any treatment — just gave me amoxicillin for 7 days and scheduled my next appointment for 14 days later. They only cared about making money and didn’t care about their patients at all. The pain was so bad that I couldn’t even last two days with just antibiotics and painkillers, so on Sunday in Hawaii, I had to find a local dentist because the pain became unbearable.
Charged me $125 for a 30 second consultation about getting a root canal. Are you guys proud of yourselves? Are you happy to rob people like this? Makes me sick..

Words cannot describe how thankful I am for Dr Kurt's. That saying you never know what somone is going thru is so true. This was a tough week not only because of having a dental issue but personal as well.. From the moment I walked into the office everyone was courteous, kind and patient. Dr Kurt's did an amazing job. I cannot express how angels can come thru when you least expect it.
Dr. Steinbrenner has the worst bedside manner of any medical provider I have ever seen in my 46 years, worse than anyone I have taken my 86 year old mother to, and worse than anyone my wife has ever seen. I was referred here for an emergency root canal after root exposure during a crown procedure. I was also sent to have an evaluation done of pain in another tooth. They took images of the non emergency tooth and said they didn’t see any reason I should need a root canal, but if I was experiencing pain, I could have one if I thought it would help. I’m no expert here, but shouldn’t the specialist be the one to tell the patient if they need a medical procedure? I decided at that point that even though I wasn’t happy with the experience thus far, I would keep my mouth shut and let him work on the emergency tooth so I didn’t have to wait through the weekend for treatment. After he administered anthemic and gave it some time to set it, he attempted to remove the temporary crown. I expressed to him that I was experiencing pain. He tested my gums with a tool I did not see. I told him that it felt like something scratching me. He said “well, I was poking you with a needle.” I told him it didn’t feel like a needle so it must be “numb”. He attempted to remove the temporary crown again. I recoiled in pain once again. At that point he dropped his Hempstead on my chest, removed his gloves, and said “we’ll have to schedule you for another appointment, you’re not getting numb.” Then he walked out. I stopped him and asked him what I am supposed to do since this was supposed to be an emergency appointment. He replied “You’ll have to come back for another appointment. I do not have time to wait for you to get numb.” He never attempted to administer more anesthetic. I am not the doctor, so I don’t know how I can make myself numb, number, or numb faster. But I have had plenty of dental procedure in my life that the doctor will administer additional anesthetic if I can still feel something. I should start off by saying this is the first time in my life I have chosen to post a review of anything. It was actually that bad. At that point I had pretty much decided I was happy to not let this guy work on my teeth and would find someplace else. When walking out, they decided to let me know that my insurance would cover the visit and I only owed them for images. The audacity of this office to attempt to charge me for an appointment that their provider walked out of was shocking. Being a Friday, I was unable to find a same day appointment with another endodontist, so I get to wait through the three day weekend and hope the pain my dentist warned me about isn’t as bad as she seemed to think I might experience if left untreated.
Dr. Steinbrunner was great. Previously I have always dreaded going to get any kind of dental work, but Dr. Steinbrunner and his team were very friendly, worked very efficiently and with almost no pain during numbing injection or during the treatment. They were also very attentive to my needs and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. While I will never say that I am excited to see a dentist, I definitely will not dread if I ever need to return to Westside Endo.
I was referred here by my dentist for observation of resorption in a tooth. I saw Dr. Steinbrunner, and knew I was in good hands. He was thorough and gentle with his exam. When the time came months later to have a root canal, I was more comfortable because I knew he would provide excellent care. The root canal was not fun, but it was quick and he made sure I was as comfortable as possible. His follow-up care was great, and he helped me sort out a different tooth issue as well. I highly recommend Dr. Steinbrunner and his staff. Besides being professional, they are personable as well, remembering details about me and asking about them.
