Westwood Orthodontics- Lisa Gao, DDS, MS

I spent approximately $4,500 on orthodontic treatment with the expectation that my teeth would remain straight after treatment was completed. I shared with Dr. Gao, that my teeth move and wanted her to ensure she can treat me correctly given my history. Unfortunately, within less than six months, my teeth had shifted and became crooked again. I'm extremely disappointed to see the results deteriorate so quickly after investing significant time and money. The photo speaks for itself. I had to seek treatment elsewhere and spend over $10,000 to have my teeth realigned. My new dentist explained that I actually needed a permanent retainer to help prevent the same issue from happening again. I wish Dr. Gao would have told me that and saved me from spending $4500 with her office. The original treatment did not provide lasting results, and the additional expense and inconvenience of correcting the relapse was frustrating. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this practice to anyone looking for a stable, long-term outcome. The photo is evidence that your teeth will relapse. I don't believe 90% of these reviews on here. Update: 7/6/26: Contacted Dr. Gao twice to resolve per her generic response below and no response. Zero integrity from this provider.

I had my Invisalign treatment done at this office and had a great experience from start to finish. Dr. Gao was awesome, knowledgeable, professional, and always took the time to answer my questions and make sure I was comfortable throughout the process. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and I’m very happy with my results. Highly recommend this office to anyone considering Invisalign or orthodontic treatment!

My wife did her Invisalign at Westwood Orthodontics and spent several months trying to convince me to come in. I finally gave in , and I am glad I did. I had braces years ago, but like a lot people, I stopped wearing my retainer. Over time my teeth started to become more crowded. I wasn’t thrilled about the idea of doing orthodontic treatment a second time, but Dr Gao took the time to explain everything and made the decision easy. I was honestly worried Invisalign would be a hassle, but it was much easier to wear than o expected. The process was straightforward, and before I knew it, my teeth were back where they should be. Everyone at Westwood Orthodonys was great to work with, Dr Gao was fantastic throughout the entire process. I’m really happy with my results and I’ve definitely learned my lesson about retainers. This time, I’ll be wearing mine every night If you’re looking for an orthodontist or thinking about Invisalign, I highly recommend you go there.

Dr. Gao is the most incredible orthodontist. She’s smart and wise beyond her years highly experienced. She has an incredible staff and she is dedicated in taking good care of her patience. I went in just to have my old Hawley retainer (upper and lower one) adjusted and it felt better putting my Hawley retainer in my mouth way better than it ever had been since I first got it years ago. I’m impressed with her work ethics, I recommend, highly recommend seeing Dr. Gao and her staff. Please make an appointment you won’t regret it.

I had the most amazing experience in this office, everyone has been very professional, efficient, and really went out of their way to take care of you. Never had to wait more than five minutes in several years that I’ve been coming here. I had Invisalign completed at this office with Dr Gao, she was caring and thorough. The experience was fantastic, And I’m so happy with my results. My teeth look perfect, I could’ve never even imagined that’s possible given how crooked they were at the beginning. 10/10 experience!
