Winning Smiles - Amherst

I am usually very pleased because my children like going to their dental visits since we switched here. However I feel that it is very expensive and I felt blindsided by an almost $600 bill to fill cavities for my daughters baby teeth - two times in a row she was not seen by the dentist and now 5 cavities - and 1 for my other daughter. Her bill was almost $200. Very unhappy, tempted to switch and/or get a second opinion.

Friendly staff and we were able to be seen quickly for an issue which led to needing a tooth extraction. They not only had my daughter at ease, but she left with a smile and was excited through the whole process. They explained everything in gentle terms and made the whole experience comfortable and quick! Highly recommend this dentist and will be taking all of my children here in the future!

My kids have been going here since they were 6 months old (Now 6 & 3). I highly recommend them! You can e-mail pictures if you have any concerns, the make everyone feel comfortable, always answer my questions in detail & my kids love going. We love our hygienist too! We always get the same one which is so nice. We go to the (Amherst Location).

Dr. Onelee and Shakira are the absolute best. They treated my son so kind, and worked so hard to ensure that he was comfortable and calm when he needed a filling. It was a breeze because of great care! 100% recommend!

Dr. Onelee is amazing. With a child with some challenges, she 100% navigated things with ease. She was understanding, collaborated, and communicated to meet my son’s needs. So thankful for the wonderful support from this provider, who GETS IT!!

I am writing this review so that no one else has to go through what I did. Do not listen to these other reviews, they are fake. I am here to write a real review and say confidently that Winning Smile is, without question, the worst dental/orthodontic practice I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with and I only stayed as long as I did because I was too far into treatment to walk away without risking further damage to my teeth. Let me be direct: this practice damaged my teeth. My back teeth were left completely unaddressed for so long that they weren’t touching at all, not a single point of contact. Because my back teeth were essentially floating, every bit of chewing force had nowhere to go except my front teeth. The pressure built up so severely that I chipped my tooth on something as soft as a slice of pizza. Not hard candy. Not ice. Pizza. That is what happens when a practice neglects half your mouth for long enough. I didn’t even find this out from my doctor at Winning Smile. I found out when I visited a competent dentist elsewhere to get the chip fixed, and it was that dentist who caught what Winning Smile had been ignoring. When I brought it up to my doctor here, only then did he begin to address it. That tells you everything you need to know. The negligence didn’t stop there. The wait times are absolutely unacceptable. I arrived at 10:25 AM for a scheduled appointment and didn’t have a single person touch my teeth until 11:50. That is not a one-time fluke, that is the standard here. The hygienists will begin working on you and then simply walk away with zero explanation, no “the doctor will be right in,” no “give me a moment,” nothing. You are left sitting in the chair with your mouth open, wondering if anyone is coming back. On one occasion, a hygienist left mid-procedure while my mouth was open, unrinsed, and clamped. She returned ten minutes later with someone else and said, and I am not exaggerating, “I messed up, what should I do?” That is something you never want to hear from someone working inside your mouth. The one doctor on staff rushes through each patient. Out of the 60+ minutes you spend in that chair waiting, he is present for maybe five of them. You are essentially paying for a doctor’s signature on work done by undertrained staff who, by their own admission, don’t know what they’re doing. Please do not bring yourself or your child here. If you value your dental health, your time, or your money, go anywhere else. This practice is not a place of care. It is a revolving door of incompetence, negligence, and wasted appointments that left my teeth in worse shape than when I started.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Everyone here was truly wonderful. The dentist was great with my son and made his experience way less stressful. I appreciate the open communication about my son’s treatment plan and explaining everything as we went.
