About Winning Smiles - Buffalo
Winning Smiles runs its Buffalo office on Linwood Avenue, in the Bryant historic district between Allentown and Elmwood Village. The practice approaches general dentistry with a conservative philosophy — meaning small problems get monitored before they get drilled, and treatment recommendations lean toward the least-aggressive intervention that solves the issue. If you've ever felt rushed into work you weren't sure you needed, the slower pace here may feel more honest by comparison.
For cavity care, that translates to a strong preference for tooth-colored composite materials, conservative removal of decay, and willingness to watch a small early-stage lesion through a couple of recall visits before deciding to fill it — not every dark spot on an X-ray needs immediate drilling. The team handles single-surface and multi-surface fillings, replacement fillings when an old one fails, and front-tooth composite work where the cosmetic result matters as much as the structural repair. Beyond fillings, services cover cleanings, exams, extractions, basic crowns, and pediatric visits for the families who bring kids in alongside their own appointments.
If you've been told four cavities at one practice but you suspect some of them are watch-not-fill, a second opinion here gives you a more conservative read on the same X-rays.
Patients searching for small cavity filling cost in Buffalo, affordable dental fillings in Buffalo, or tooth filling in Buffalo who want a measured approach often land at practices like this one. Winning Smiles fits patients who'd rather under-treat than over-treat. For Bryant, Allentown, and Elmwood Village residents weighing where to anchor regular dental care, this Linwood Avenue practice is worth the consultation. Bring any X-rays or treatment plans from a prior dentist if you have them — the conservative approach works best when the team can compare current findings against earlier images and see whether something has actually progressed or held steady since the last visit. The new-patient exam is usually scheduled as a longer block to allow that comparison work, so plan accordingly.
Winning Smiles operates a Linwood Avenue practice in Buffalo's Bryant neighborhood — routine fillings, cleanings, and tooth-conservative care for patients who prefer minimal-intervention dentistry.

Dr. Foley went above and beyond to fit my son in immediately for a tongue tie release. He did an amazing job educating us on the health outcomes that come with ties as well as demonstrating how to identify a tie. The procedure and aftercare instructions were clearly explained. We felt confident that we were making the best decision for our sons health as well as prepared to care for him post procedure.
We Love this dental office. My baby girl has been going here since she was 2 yrs old. She looks forward to her dental visits. Today she got the big girl treatment. Staff is super nice beyond pleased. Another visit she enjoyed!
I chose Winning Smiles in Buffalo even though it is an hour drive from my home for various reasons. They corrected my daughters lip tie as an infant. I was impressed with their care then. Which was a big factor as to why I brought my now 3 year old and 1 year old daughters in for their first dental appointments. I have dental anexity from my childhood and was very nervous for my girls. The staff was amazing. They spoke directly to my girls and explained everything in great detail mkaing them feel comfortable and excited about the process of the cleaning. There were no tears all smiles durning and after our treatment. Overall I was very impressed with this level of attention to my little ones and making the routine visits fun and engaging.
Very professional with my 9 year old. Very attentive. And friendly. I truly love this place, everything is so clean and organized.
Our first two experiences there were great, but we had to cancel an appointment in January and then had to wait 6 months to reschedule. When we showed up with our toddler for his appointment, they had canceled it because they said we didn’t confirm. Apparently their system didn’t register my text confirming; they didn’t call or send another text or email saying they canceled his appointment just canceled it without notice and acted like I should have known because it said in the text if I didn’t confirm (which I did) they would cancel. We got him in a few days later (after a few more issues with scheduling system). The hygienist and doctor were great, but not worth the hassle of dealing with the scheduling system or office staff.
I used to love this office, but after the last few visits we will never come back. They lost my daughters X-rays after scheduling treatment based on them and then called be back saying they couldn’t guarantee the treatment was for the right child. Then they scheduled us to come back and get them retaken, but when we showed up the dentist told us they had the correct X-rays the entire time and she told them to call us back and cancel the retake, but that they office staff refused? Giant headache and waste of my time. Then, we wait three months for this treatment because they are so behind and low on providers. They cancelled our appointment out of the blue! They said it was because I didn’t confirm the appointment in time, but it was FIVE days before the appointment and I was out of town for work with no service. It wasn’t even at their confirmation cutoff yet, which I was told was Friday at 5pm for the following week (which I would have been back in cell service for), but apparently they decided it was earlier and never notified anyone? Anyways I took off of work for that appointment, waited three months, all for it to be cancelled five days beforehand. Then they randomly rescheduled for a different day that I didn’t approve and cannot attend. The actual dental hygienists and dentists have always been wonderful, but the office is a MESS and after everything the office manager never once apologized and frankly didn’t seem to care at all. They are incredibly understaffed and disorganized for the number of patients they’re seeing. And the cancellation issue was directly blamed on “higher ups”. I will never be bringing them back.
This place is terrible. It had been a while since I'd been here and my fist time at this location. First I waited months to get in for a regular checkup which was considered a new patient visit because it had been so long. I figured it would take a little longer than usual because again it had been a while. 1hr and 40 minutes later I'm walking out without my teeth even being cleaned and scheduled 5 months later for the actual cleaning. Unbelievable. Half the time was wasted with the poor technology including some stupid AI tools that the dental tech fought with the whole time. As soon as they started talking about the AI I wanted to leave and go somewhere else. No one likes AI! I want a human doing the exam. I didn't consent to using my body to train your junky AI models. Icing on the cake was near the end when I got a sales pitch about buying a toothbrush that was like $150. As if I hadn't spent enough time there already with them doing everything they could to run up charges for the insurance company other than actually doing NG a cleaning.
I absolutely love Winning Smiles. Staff are kind and patient and I love how they explain everything they will be doing. It makes my children a little more comfortable when they know what’s being done and what’s coming next.
I couldn’t be happy with my smile , working with Dr Ashley and her assistant Jenny at the Buffalo location . It has been extremely life-changing. I used to be very self-conscious about my teeth I came in and we went over a wonderful treatment plan. They did such an amazing job applying and removing the braces. I cannot stop smiling thank you guys so much for completely changing my life around.
Dr. Ashley is always very friendly and easy to understand. The staff are all very nice. We needed an “emergency” appointment and the office was very accommodating.
If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I set my THREE kids up with Winning Smiles as new patients last year in November after their previous dentist closed out of nowhere. So, they had an appointment set for June. Great! NOT.....The DAY BEFORE the appointment they call me and say that the practitioner won't be in, so they'll have to reschedule until November. And remember, the appt had been set since LAST November. Aggravating, but ok, I figured there was some fluke and they legitimately just hadn't realized until that moment. Ok fine, one mistake isn't a deal-breaker. Then today, 11/25/25.....we had it all arranged, their appts were set for noon, picked each of them up from their respective schools, and we were on our way FROM LEWISTON to their location 40 MINUTES AWAY when they called me on the way there and said: 1. They "WON'T" treat my oldest because he's 17. "Well, we're a pediatric dentist, that's why." Well, someone needs to go back to school because that's ages 0-18, and in some cases, 21. 2. They "WON'T" treat my daughter because the copy of my daughter's insurance they had was expired. (No idea how they even got it as I hadn't even given them copies of any insurance at that point.) Me: "She has insurance through her father's union, and its very much active. I have the card on me and can hand it to you when we get there." Then she said "Well, you can bring it, but I'm telling you it's expired." I then told them to take my kids out of their system, and that because of their wildly unprofessional practices, I will NOT be receiving a bill. All the pathetic excuses and poor customer service is disgusting. As a business owner, I could NEVER imagine treating my clients this way. Just seems like they are lazy, irresponsible, disorganized, and careless. DON'T take your kids here. An entire year wasted just for mine to be not seen even once.
