About Wisdom Teeth OKC

Wisdom Teeth OKC operates on Northwest Expressway in the Northwest Oklahoma City area of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Wisdom teeth are removed when they are impacted, repeatedly infected, decayed, or damaging the tooth in front, since they arrive last and often into a jaw with no room left. Not every wisdom tooth needs to come out — one that erupts cleanly and can be kept clean is often left alone.

Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.

Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost.

Continuity matters in dental care — seeing the same practice over time means your history, X-rays, and any patterns in your oral health are already on file, rather than starting from scratch at each visit. That familiarity is part of what a regular dental home offers beyond any single appointment.

Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less. What services does Wisdom Teeth OKC offer?

What age is best to have wisdom teeth taken out?
Late teens to early twenties is often easier, because the roots are less fully formed and bone is more forgiving, so healing tends to be quicker. Removal is still routinely done later when there is a reason for it.
How long is recovery after wisdom tooth removal?
Most of the swelling and discomfort settles within about a week, with the first two or three days the most noticeable. Surgical removal of an impacted tooth generally takes longer to recover from than a simple extraction.
How can I look after my teeth between appointments?
Brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste and cleaning between the teeth daily covers most of it. Limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount consumed.

The Doctor and his nursing staff were great. I spoke about the concerns I had with anesthesia. They listened and let me go pain medicine and anesthesia free. They were very persistent checking on me throughout the extractions! Would definitely recommend to anyone!

“Excellent experience from start to finish. My daughter had two wisdom teeth and two additional teeth removed. The staff was caring, understanding, and professional throughout the entire process. They made sure she was comfortable, answered all of our questions, and took great care of her. As a parent, I felt confident knowing she was in good hands. We are grateful for the kindness and attention we received and would highly recommend this office to anyone needing dental or oral surgery care.”

My daughter-in-law was in there this past Monday June 1st to get her teeth pulled for dentures. They could not do it because her blood pressure was between 250 and 300 and they sent her home. Yesterday she had a stroke and is now in the hospital fighting for her life. An aneurysm burst why was she not sent to the ER that day which I don't even know if that would have done any good but they should have sent her to the ER not home when her blood pressure was that high

Had all four wisdom teeth pulled. Very clean. Felt very quick - like I blinked & it was over. Dr was awesome during initial consultation. Mini Pac Man/Galaga arcade cabinets in the waiting room.
