About Wisdom Tooth Center

Wisdom Tooth Center is a dental practice on South I- 35 Service Road in Moore, Oklahoma. Wisdom teeth are removed when they are impacted, repeatedly infected, decayed, or damaging the tooth in front, since they arrive last and often into a jaw with no room left. Not every wisdom tooth needs to come out — one that erupts cleanly and can be kept clean is often left alone.

A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.

Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.

Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost. This page has the practice's contact details and full service list. Do wisdom teeth always need to be removed?
No. Wisdom teeth that come through cleanly, in a good position, and can be kept clean are often left alone. Removal is generally advised when they are impacted, repeatedly infected, decayed, or damaging the tooth in front.
How long is recovery after wisdom tooth removal?
Most of the swelling and discomfort settles within about a week, with the first two or three days the most noticeable. Surgical removal of an impacted tooth generally takes longer to recover from than a simple extraction.
Is it normal for teeth to be sensitive to cold?
Mild, brief sensitivity is common and often relates to exposed root surfaces or worn enamel. Sensitivity that lingers after the cold is removed is more significant and worth having examined, as it can indicate the nerve is involved.

Amazing! I highly recommend. They did my daughter’s X-rays, and the doctor and nurse were very kind and patient. My daughter was nervous but the nurse was good about keeping her calm. They were quick, consult one day and was able to get her in for surgery the next day!

I had a great experience. I came in for 4 wisdom tooth extractions. I was put under light anesthesia, and when I thought one tooth was getting pulled out, the whole surgery was already over. It happened so quickly and the recovery experience was tolerable but great! Terry was also very helpful with answering billing and insurance questions. I for sure had plenty of questions and was given the necessary information to address my concerns When I had surgery the front desk also answered my silly questions about recovery. I feel better without them and feel relived that it’s done!

My oldest had his wisdom teeth taken out today. They were very thorough explaining surgery, what to expect, and the after care instructions. They were all very helpful and friendly! My son said everyone that worked with him today were absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend them!

We've had both of our sons go here for surgeries. Great staff, clean waiting space and offices along with great communication during the process. All of this adds up to a great experience for sure.

It took two months to get an appointment. Was scheduled for 10:30. It’s 12:00 and still haven’t been seen. No explanation given it’s been me asking. So disrespectful. If my child wasn’t already in pain I would cancel and find another spot. They sent texts and emails frequently about the appointment and now that I’m here I’m just waiting. Only gave 2 stars because I haven’t seen them yet.

I had the rudest assistant during my surgery. My first & only time undergoing anesthesia. Zero manners and she kept sniffling. I felt great going under for the first time in a contaminated operating room. I unfortunately ended up crying after waking up from the procedure & my mother said the assistant seemed annoyed with me. I called to get more information about the assistant and they said the manager would get in contact with me but no one ever did. -100/5 stars would not recommend this place to anyone.

My experience here was great, well beyond my expectations. Entire staff was very kind. My surgeon Dr. Antonio Atte was very nice and took the time to answer all my questions and concerns. The price was very reasonable, especially considering the quality care I received. Thank you!
