About Your Time Dental Urgent Care South Shore - Gibsonton

Your Time Dental Urgent Care South Shore - Gibsonton operates on Kings Lake Drive in Gibsonton, Florida. Emergency dental care covers sudden problems that will not wait for a routine appointment — severe pain, a knocked-out or fractured tooth, swelling, or a lost filling that leaves a tooth exposed. Same-day or urgent appointments are the point of an emergency service, rather than the standard multi-week booking window.

Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less.

Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent.

Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.

Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts. What should I do if a tooth gets knocked out?
Pick the tooth up by the crown rather than the root, rinse it gently without scrubbing, and try to place it back in the socket. If that is not possible, keep it in milk and get to a dentist quickly — the chances of saving it drop sharply after the first hour.
Can I go to the ER for a toothache?
An emergency room can manage pain and treat a spreading infection, but hospitals are generally not equipped to carry out dental treatment, so you will usually be stabilised and referred on. For the actual repair, a dental practice is the right place to go.
What happens during a routine dental examination?
The dentist checks the teeth for decay, examines the gums, looks at any existing fillings and crowns, and screens the soft tissues. X-rays are taken when there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth.

I went to South Shore Dental Excellence today, Saturday, for urgent dental care. The team of dental professionals fit me into their busy day to take care of the dental issues I was experiencing. They took the time to thoroughly explain all the issues and what needed to be done to get the results I was seeking. I was very impressed with their state of the art equipment and technology. I would highly recommend South Shore Dental Excellence to anyone needing professional dental care.

Called at 2:45 as my husband needed urgent help. They had a 3 pm available they said. So start heading that way as scheduling and giving information. All is good then they call back and say they have a treatment going and need to push us to 4pm. Ok fine we are already on the way so will just go wait. Well 5 minutes after that they call back the dentist has an emergency and has to leave. Found this to be suspicious since just minutes before we were pushed because they were in a treatment.

If I could give less than one star I certainly would!!! I paid $50 at the time of making an appointment, the next morning my husband went in, they wanted to charge an additional $1000 on top of what our insurance covers to extract two teeth!! This is something that should be disclosed at the time you ask for an initial $50 payment!!! Not have someone in excruciating pain come into your office, sit there for 3 hours, then hit them with an exorbitant price to pull two teeth!!!! Times are tough everywhere, my husband worked hard for that $50 that could have put food on our table, instead it's now in the pocket of the scam artist that runs this joke of a dental facility!!! Absolutely insulting!!!

My husband had a toothache and called at 8AM on a Saturday and they saw him at 9AM. The staff and Dentist were thorough and professional. Dr. Barros examined him and found no problems with his teeth and determined he had a sinus infection. She prescribed antibiotics and it is now Sunday morning and he is 100% out of pain. I would highly recommend this office for emergencies and we are switching to this office for our regular dental maintenance due to thier outstanding service.

We had an emergency visit today with Dr. Farag at the Gibson dental office. He was able to pull my husband's broken tooth, whose nerve was exposed, and was causing him insane pain. The doctor was extremely knowledgeable and super helpful, even when my husband started to have a hypertensive crisis in the office. They could not have been more professional or helpful, and the doctor even called later to check up on my husband to see how he was doing. I would definitely recommend this if you need an emergency dentist. The pricing is also reasonable.

I had an outstanding experience with Dental Urgent Care South Shore. The entire process was quick, efficient, and—most importantly completely painless. From the moment I walked in, I felt at ease and the level of care and professionalism was exceptional. Urgent Care South Shore truly knows how to make a dental visit as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a top-notch dentist! I just wanted to thank the staff that operated on my tooth. I truly hate the dentist but for the first time ever, I’m excited to go back!
