AXA Affin was the Malaysian insurance joint venture between the French insurer AXA and Malaysia's Affin Bank, and it no longer trades under that name. The Italian insurer Generali acquired a majority stake in the AXA Affin general and life businesses in August 2022, and on 1 April 2023 they were rebranded as Generali Insurance Malaysia Berhad and Generali Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad. Generali states that policies issued under the AXA Affin name remain valid on their original terms with the Generali entities. Anyone holding an AXA Affin policy in Malaysia is now dealing with Generali Malaysia.
