EMI Health is a nonprofit health benefits organisation based in Utah that offers medical, dental and vision coverage to employer groups and to individuals and families. It traces its origins to the early 1930s, when it was founded by a group of teachers, and it says it has no stockholders, so surplus is directed back into premiums and benefits. Its dental plans use a preferred provider (PPO) model with contracted dentists. Group coverage is offered in Arizona, Georgia, Texas and Utah, and individual and Marketplace dental plans are offered in a wider set of states.
