About American Dental

American Dental operates on Kings Highway in Brooklyn, New York. Gum disease treatment ranges from a deeper professional cleaning for early inflammation through to more involved periodontal care once bone around the teeth has started to be affected. Bleeding gums are usually the earliest sign, and the early stage is reversible with proper cleaning and better daily plaque control.

Comprehensive care generally means a practice can handle most of a patient's dental needs in-house — preventive, restorative, and often minor cosmetic or surgical treatment — reducing how often patients are referred elsewhere for routine work.

A filling repairs a tooth after decay has been cleaned out, most often using tooth-coloured composite resin that is shaped and bonded to blend with the surrounding tooth. It is usually completed in a single appointment and is one of the most routine restorative procedures in dentistry.

Tooth Decay Treatment is also among the treatments offered here, and the practice can explain what it involves and whether it fits your situation at a consultation.

At the core of a general dental practice is preventive and restorative care: checkups, professional cleanings, fillings, and screening for decay and gum disease before either becomes a bigger problem. It is the kind of appointment most people need on a routine schedule rather than only when something hurts.

Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave. What is the difference between a general dentist and a specialist?
A general dentist provides comprehensive care across all the common needs and refers out for anything requiring focused training — implants, complex gum disease, orthodontics, and similar. A specialist has completed extra years of training in one specific area.
Why do my gums bleed even though I brush twice a day?
Bleeding usually reflects where you are cleaning rather than how often. Plaque left along the gumline and between teeth causes inflammation there, which is exactly the area brushing alone tends to miss, so flossing or interdental brushes matter.
What are the early signs of gum disease?
Gums that bleed when brushing or flossing, redness and puffiness along the gumline, and persistent bad breath are the usual first indicators. Bleeding is the one most often dismissed, and it is the clearest early warning.

Came in for a regular cleaning but they Wasted my time on two separate occasions by giving me the run around of different services they offer. In the end I was told regular cleaning won't be possible unless I buy their laser treatment. Before coming in I verified with them if regular cleaning will be possible through my insurance to which I was assured that it was. They did xrays both times only 1 month apart and billed my insurance for it..talk about dental insurance fraud their office should be the first one popping up on Google. I Will be reaching out to my insurance so they don't get paid for unwarranted x-rays and also will be reaching out to the FBI and local authorities so they can investigate this office for Phantom billing and unbundling done on regular basis by this office. Don't fall for the fake 5 star reviews written by management and scroll down for some real reviews..... —5☆

This is a wonderful office all the staff is great. I've never been more please with someone like I am with Mary the hygienist. She is considerate & gracious with her clients. Dr Guo tended to my cavity effortlessly painless. She also has a wonderfully polite personality. I would recommend this place to everyone. All that's missing is a child dentist so I can bring my little ones.

My experience with national dental was great. I saw Dr Feinstein who did my implant. All I can say is that I was scared but in the end it wasn't as bad as it seems. Considering it was a frontal tooth I was concerned but I left with a temporary and was very satisfied. Will be returning for my next step in a few months. Will recommend everyone to come here because they make u feel comfortable and happy. The front was very professional and the manager is just amazing.

My first experience at National Dental on Kings Highway was a perfect one ! From the moment I called to make an appointment ,Kyle was extremely attentive and helpful . There was minimum wait time and everyone was extremely welcoming and professional. Mary is an amazing Dental Hygienist who was very thorough with my cleaning . She answered all of my questions and had such a calm and positive energy . Upon checkout I was greeted with more friendly and helpful staff .Julie was also extremely pleasant and offered suggestions regarding my next follow up. I’m not a person who looks forward to going to the dentist but I am happy I found this office and they now have a permanent patient ! I highly recommend booking an appointment at National Dental on Kings Highway !

A place that you can trust. I don’t have great dental coverage I also don’t have the money to pay top price for the cosmetic dental work that I needed. I had to replace my two front teeth with veneers and my dental coverage did not cover it. At first I was going to go out of the country to get my dental procedures done but was quickly talked out of that idea by my father who said that even if I can’t afford top dollar procedures it is still best to have work done in America versus leaving the country. I decided to go to American dental Kings Highway location to see if I was able to get the work I needed done and the whole experience turned out to be a real blessing for me. My doctor was Dr. Arkadiy and he did an amazing job fixing both my front teeth. He is a very busy guy but still makes sure he’s giving you the best service. The dentist assistant as well as the other staff at the Kings Highway, American dental location are very professional. Julie is one of the staff members I dealt with most of the time and she is great at what she does, dealing with her was the cherry on top of my American Dental experience. I would like also like to say that everyone who works at the front desk is a delight as well. I have to give this place five stars because I received great service at an affordable price.

New and current patients BEWARE ! Im currently working as a dental assistant for over 3 years now and going to school to study dental hygiene. Places like this office are the reason Im going back to school. Receptionist to busy talking to notice me standing there. New patients are told to come in 15 minutes early to sign paper work. Defeats the purpose if I have to stand there waiting for the three receptionist sitting there to finish thier conversation. For a 2pm app it took a half hr for them to call me In for 4 x-ray's (two bitewings and 2 anteriors). Women doing the xrays was unattentive and inconsiderate to my annoyance in not moving the machine to take the XCP out my mouth. Instead of moving the machine shes maneuvering the sensor out of my mouth and out of the way of the machine that stood in my face while she adjusted the xcp for the next x ray. Not smart. Then The three connected seats in the waiting room by the children's play area is broken. An older man almost lost his footing getting up from that broken chair. Unsafe. 10 minutes to three I was finally called for my cleaning. Before starting the cleaning I asked my hygienist for her license, as anyone can legally ask and, she could not present it in the room so she directed me to the manager. The manger then pointed to a wall behind where there were 6 doctors certificates and one hygienist certification. So I went back and asked how many hygienist work in the office as this was a big office with many oporatories and she replied one so then I reply what is her name and she says Helena. That name did not match the hygiene certificate on the wall and clearly was not the certificate for thier only hygenist I was seeing. At this point the manager dissapears. When I went back to the room to speak to the hygenist the manager and her were speaking in russian. VERY RUDE. I broke up thier conversation to explain that I was trying to be a nuisance but I was simply trying to be careful of who does my cleaning because of my experience in the field. The hygenist explained to me that she would have a copy of her license sent to the office through her son that was not at home so it would take 15. While I sat to wait I seen that my chart was in the room next door while a patient occupied the room getting thier work done. The hygenist then says that shes going to take the next patient while she waits and that when I had enough and left. This places is unprofessional, very rude and should have proper licenses displayed especially if your a corporate office like I was told. Definitely will not be going back and PATIENTS BEWARE !!!!
