About Brooklyn Dental Professionals

Brooklyn Dental Professionals runs a Grand Street practice in Williamsburg, on the corridor between Union Avenue and Bushwick Avenue that crosses through residential blocks rather than the busier waterfront commercial stretches. The patient base is the surrounding Williamsburg and East Williamsburg community — working professionals, longtime residents from the neighborhood's pre-transformation era, and the families that've stayed through the demographic shift. The practice handles general dentistry for that mixed catchment.

Routine fillings make up a steady share of the schedule. The team uses tooth-colored composite as the default for most cases, handling single-surface fillings for early-stage decay, multi-surface restorations on larger cases, replacement work when older fillings have failed, and the structural call between filling and crown when more tooth material has been lost. Beyond fillings, services include cleanings and exams, root canals, crowns and bridges, extractions, gum-disease screening, and emergency dental care. They'll walk through cost options when multiple treatment paths are clinically reasonable rather than defaulting to the priciest recommendation.

If you've been waiting for a filling because you weren't sure what the visit would cost, a comprehensive new-patient exam here usually combines the diagnostic with the price discussion in one visit so you can plan from there.

Patients searching for family dental practice in Brooklyn, family dentist in Brooklyn, or general dentistry in Brooklyn, NY who live in Williamsburg or East Williamsburg often weigh practices like this one for the residential-corridor location and routine focus. Brooklyn Dental Professionals fits that pattern. The new-patient exam combines comprehensive radiographs, periodontal screening, and a treatment-plan walkthrough before any restorative work is scheduled. For Williamsburg residents picking a regular general dental practice off the busiest commercial corridors, this Grand Street office is a reasonable first appointment. Brooklyn dental capacity tightens and loosens by season — if the practice isn't accepting new patients on first call, asking about a waitlist position is worth the two minutes before moving on to other options.

Based on Grand Street in Brooklyn, New York, Brooklyn Dental Professionals provides cosmetic dentistry and root canal treatment alongside routine dental care. The practice is open Monday through Saturday. Contact details and a full list of services are on this page.

I was very disappointed with my experience. I was told that I needed a root canal ASAP, even though the office does not perform root canals. Instead of helping me coordinate care with an endodontist, I was told to call my insurance and find one on my own. The plan was for me to have the root canal done elsewhere and then return to their office to have the crown placed and pay them for the crown. After seeing the endodontist, I was informed that my tooth did not need a root canal. The specialist explained that the shadow on the X-ray was simply the protective material placed under a deep filling, not an infection requiring root canal treatment. Additionally, the office submitted a prior authorization for my implant, but when my insurance requested additional documentation, they never provided it. As a result, my prior authorization was denied for poor documentation, causing unnecessary delays in my treatment. I called my insurance company and they told the never provide what was needed.

I do not recommend this office. My experience has been frustrating because I felt that billing concerns were prioritized over patient care and communication. I initially chose this practice based on its positive reviews and paid out of pocket for treatment to improve my smile. Unfortunately, the final result was uneven, with my implant crown noticeably shorter than my surrounding teeth. When I returned to discuss correcting the issue, I was told the office would work with me. The office manager, Soor, told me I would receive an update regarding the lab fee by July 21, 2025. When I followed up, I was repeatedly told to call back, that my message would be passed along, or that someone would return my call. Despite months of phone calls and emails, I rarely received a response. Eventually, I received an email from the office stating: “Let’s get you scheduled. We should begin with your exam and cleaning, and then get you scheduled for your crown impression…” However, when I called to schedule exactly as instructed, I was told I could not because of my outstanding balance. Throughout this process, I made it clear that I was not refusing to pay. I simply wanted to know what my financial responsibility would be if they were going to correct the implant. Instead of receiving clear answers, communication stopped again. Because I lost confidence in the practice, I decided to seek treatment elsewhere. When I requested a copy of my dental records to continue my care, I was told they would not be released because I had an outstanding balance. Based on my understanding of HIPAA, patients generally have the right to obtain copies of their medical records even if they owe money. Overall, my experience was disappointing due to the lack of communication, inconsistent information, and difficulty resolving what should have been a straightforward issue. I cannot recommend this office to anyone looking for reliable follow-up care.

I’ve been going to this dentist for the past several years and they never disappoint. Best hygienists in town, especially Toni who is so gentle around my sensitive teeth. Excited to see their expanded new location. Highly recommend!

My experience at this dentist office is great! The service is so professional and thorough not only did the dental hygienist. Do a great job at making me feel comfortable and thoroughly cleaned my teeth and explain what he was doing, but also the dentist was patient and did an excellent job at explaining the next steps. Definitely give a 10 stars

I went in with great expectations because I knew 2 people that went here. But both my experiences were bad. 1st visit, I went in for a consultation and it was the quickest consultation I ever had. I didn't leave there feeling comfortable. I have been waiting for them to send the insurance company the recommended work they need to do. They keep telling me that the insurance portal has been down for 2 months. 2nd visit, I went in for emergency fix on my front tooth and came out looking worst. They didn't even make the temporary fix the same or even at least close to the color of my teeth. It was such a rush job. They gave me paperwork for a referral and it had the wrong name on it. I called them to let them know that the paperwork they gave me had the wrong name on it. I asked the lady if I can white it out and put my correct name and she told me NO. I went back to get the correct paperwork and what did she do...she took a white out and put my name on it. Unbelievable. They made it very clear that they don't care... My experience sucked...

The visit to this office was great since I called by phone, upon arrival I was very kindly attended by Erica at the front desk, the wait was less than 5 minutes and they honored the time of my appointment. Dr. Kogan took his time and did a great job. I would definitely go back to this office.
