About Century Medical & Dental Center | Brooklyn, Downtown

Century Medical & Dental Center's Downtown Brooklyn location sits on Livingston Street in the central business district, combining medical and dental services in one multi-specialty building. The patient base is the surrounding professional, government, and residential community — workers in nearby offices and courthouses, residents of the new high-rise developments, and longtime Downtown Brooklyn locals who get both medical and dental care under one chart.

Dental services cover the full general-dentistry range — cleanings, exams, tooth-colored composite fillings across all surfaces, replacement fillings, root canals, crowns and bridges, basic extractions, gum-disease screening, and emergency dental visits. The integrated medical-dental format means medical clearance for dental procedures gets handled within the same chart rather than across faxed letters between separate offices, which matters for patients on anticoagulants, those with cardiac history, or anyone whose medical complexity adds friction to standalone dental visits.

If your dental and medical care has historically been split across two unrelated practices and the coordination has been awkward, a multi-specialty center handles the integration internally and keeps both sides on the same record.

Patients searching for family dentist in Brooklyn, dentist accepting new patients in Brooklyn, NY, or general dentistry in Brooklyn, NY who work in Downtown Brooklyn or who already use Century's medical network often choose practices like this one for the integration. The Livingston Street location fits that combined-services pattern. New-patient appointments tend to run longer than at standalone dental offices because the medical-dental intake is more thorough, but the back-end coordination is smoother on subsequent visits. For Downtown Brooklyn workers and residents picking a regular dental practice with medical integration on the same campus, this multi-specialty center is a reasonable first choice when both sides of your healthcare benefit from coordination. If you've had recent medical changes — new medications, recent surgery, ongoing conditions — flagging them at intake matters more than patients usually expect, since several common drugs interact with routine dental work.

Century Medical & Dental Center's Downtown Brooklyn office combines medical and dental services on Livingston Street — general dentistry under the same roof as primary medical care.

Because they are in network and they signed a contract with my insurance company, they are required as a carrier of my insurance to go through them. However, they refuse to bill my insurance company and demanded full payment up front. it's a violation of the contract with Aetna. So I walked out ... beware

I arrived 10 minutes early for my dental consultation appointment with Dr. Vargas and ended up leaving after waiting an hour and 45 minutes past my appointment time (so an hour and 55 min total) and still not being called back. A co-worker of mine was also there scheduled for an appointment with the same doctor at the same time!!! We already knew that couldn’t be good. She finally got called back an hour after our appointment time and I waited thinking I’d still be seen but the wait time and the fact that they double booked was ridiculous. The receptionist on the dental side was on her lunch break when I arrived and didn’t come back to the desk for at least 15 minutes to even notice that I had arrived to check in. She was also very short with everyone who went up to the desk; someone even shouted at her that she was being very nasty and went to the back to speak to the dentist themselves. When I went to check on the wait time she dismissed me saying “I did my part so you’ll have to wait.” Glad I didn’t waste my consultation on them and I will be finding a new dentist to try out.

A clean, brightly lit office with friendly and courteous staff. The waiting time was not long. Then I met Dr. Anzhela Dvorkina. Amazing fashion Diva, but a great dr. I have never felt so comfortable with any other dr., and she has a good sense of humor, which causes you to be relax. A great place and great staff. Amazing doctor.

Dr. Dvorkina is one of the few doctors working under a system where you have limited time with your patients. Yet each time I visited her, she always seemed to listen intently and work with me to develop a game plan around health care situation. Great doctor and a good team supporting her.

My appointment with Dr. Gomez was really nice. Dr. Gomez actually listened to me and was not dismissive at all, which I truly appreciated. She took the time to address my concerns thoughtfully and made me feel heard throughout the visit. The only downside was the excessive wait time,(1hr 20 min) which is why I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5. Overall, I had a very positive experience with my allergist. The Medical Receptionists at Century Medical & Dental Center were also nice.

I had a bad experience with an uneducated secretary of the dental department 200 Livingston Street Brooklyn, NY 11201. She is rude and doesn’t know how to speak to patients. I had an appointment at 11:30. I had a grace period of 15 minutes to be there. On a wheelchair, I got to the office at 11:43. She was talking to an other patient and talking to the phone at the same time. She saw me on the line with the wheelchair. She purposely ignored me. When the patient left, an other person passed to her to reschedule. I put my name on the sheet saying I arrived at the building at 11:43. Even though she saw me, she lied saying I was not at building at 11:43. She asked to wait for 15 minutes. After an hour wait, I approached her to ask why she didn’t call me. She said i have to wait. I decided to leave the office and went home. I received a message to reschedule. When I called to reschedule, she recognized my phone number, she transferred the call to others locations. After 5 calls, I used a different phone number, she picked up right away. Because she saw I used a wheelchair, she didn’t show any respect for me. She should not work with patient. She is a disgrace!!!

I had an outstanding experience with NP Yelena and her team. From the moment I walked in, I felt genuinely cared for and heard. She is incredibly thorough, taking the time to ask detailed questions and truly listen to everything I had to say. I never felt rushed, and she made sure to address every single concern I brought up with patience, clarity, and professionalism. What really stood out to me was how attentive and compassionate she is. She explains things in a way that’s easy to understand and makes you feel confident in your care plan. It’s rare to find a provider who combines knowledge, thoroughness, and genuine empathy so well. I also want to recognize her medical assistant, who is just as amazing. Nykita is always kind, welcoming, and eager to help in any way he can. Whether it’s answering questions, assisting during visits, or making sure everything runs smoothly, her positive attitude truly enhances the entire experience. This team goes above and beyond, and I’m so grateful to have found such dedicated and compassionate healthcare professionals. Highly recommend!

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Dvorkina for several years, and my experience has consistently been exceptional. She demonstrates a high level of professionalism, compassion, and attentiveness, always taking the time to thoroughly address any concerns and ensure I feel heard and supported. Her approach to patient care inspires complete confidence and trust. I would also like to recognize her medical assistant, whose patience and calming demeanor make each visit smooth and reassuring. In addition, Susie, the sonography technician, is consistently courteous and gentle, creating a comfortable and relaxed environment during examinations. The entire office, including the front desk staff, maintains a professional, organized, and patient-focused atmosphere. Based on my experiences, I strongly recommend this practice to anyone seeking attentive, high-quality medical care.
