About Crossroads Dental

Crossroads Dental operates on Lyndon B Johnson Freeway in the North Dallas area of Dallas, Texas. Sedation dentistry uses inhaled, oral, or intravenous options to help patients relax through treatment, ranging from nitrous oxide for mild anxiety through to deeper sedation for longer or more involved procedures. It is commonly used for patients who have avoided the dentist for years due to fear.

Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost.

Continuity matters in dental care — seeing the same practice over time means your history, X-rays, and any patterns in your oral health are already on file, rather than starting from scratch at each visit. That familiarity is part of what a regular dental home offers beyond any single appointment.

Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less.

Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent.

Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway. Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Crossroads Dental located in Dallas?
Crossroads Dental is on Lyndon B Johnson Freeway in the North Dallas area of Dallas, Texas (75240).
What days is Crossroads Dental open?
Crossroads Dental is open Monday through Friday. Contact the practice through this page to confirm current appointment times before travelling.
What services does Crossroads Dental offer?
Listed services at Crossroads Dental include Sedation Dentistry. The full list is shown on this page.
Is sedation dentistry safe?
It is considered safe when properly assessed and monitored, which is why your medical history and current medications matter beforehand. Being open about those is the main thing that keeps it safe.
Will I be unconscious under dental sedation?
Usually not. Most dental sedation leaves you conscious but deeply relaxed, often with little memory of the procedure afterward. General anaesthesia, where you are fully unconscious, is reserved for specific circumstances.
What causes bad breath and can a dentist help?
Persistent bad breath most often comes from bacteria on the tongue and around the gumline, and gum disease is a frequent underlying cause. Because it is usually oral in origin, a dental examination is a sensible first step.

I had such a wonderful experience at Crossroads Dental. We needed a last-minute appointment, and they were able to get us in right away, which I truly appreciated. From the moment we walked in, the entire staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional. They went above and beyond to make sure my daughter felt calm, comfortable, and safe throughout her visit. That level of care and patience really meant a lot to us as parents. The dental team did an excellent job, and everything was handled smoothly and efficiently. It’s clear they genuinely care about their patients and take pride in their work. I highly recommend Crossroads Dental to anyone looking for a compassionate and professional dental office! ❤️

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dale Burgdorf at Cross Roads Dental—this practice truly sets the standard for exceptional care. From the moment you walk in, the entire team makes you feel welcomed, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. The office is clean, modern, and runs efficiently, which makes every visit smooth and stress-free. A special shoutout goes to Gretchen, the dental hygienist, who is absolutely outstanding. She is not only incredibly skilled and thorough, but also kind, patient, and attentive. Gretchen takes the time to explain everything she’s doing, answers questions thoughtfully, and makes sure you’re comfortable throughout the entire appointment. Her gentle approach and positive attitude completely transform what could be an ordinary dental visit into a genuinely pleasant experience. It’s clear that Gretchen truly cares about her patients and takes pride in her work. Thanks to her, I feel more confident about my dental health and actually look forward to my appointments. If you’re looking for a dental office that combines professionalism, expertise, and a personal touch, Cross Roads Dental—and especially Gretchen—are simply the best.

Had a wonderful experience at Crossroads Dental. I took my elderly dad in to have a crown repaired and the ladies at the front were so kind and welcoming. Dr. Perez made him feel comfortable and explained everything she was going to do. He was pleased with the level of care and respect he received as a new patient. Highly recommend.

Everyone at Crossroad Dental was fantastic. From the lady at the reception desk to Shira who assisted me with my cleaning and my x-rays and meeting my new dentist Mrs Perez. The place was very nice and tidy and everything was sterilized. Their state-of-the-art equipment made it so nice and reassuring. Thank you all so very much for making my visit so wonderful. K
