About Dallas Uptown Endodontics

Based on North Central Expressway in the Old East Dallas area of Dallas, Texas, Dallas Uptown Endodontics is a dental practice serving the area. Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed tissue from inside a tooth, cleans and seals the space, and allows the natural tooth to be kept rather than extracted. Its reputation for being painful is largely outdated — carried out under local anaesthetic, it typically relieves pain rather than causing it.

Continuity matters in dental care — seeing the same practice over time means your history, X-rays, and any patterns in your oral health are already on file, rather than starting from scratch at each visit. That familiarity is part of what a regular dental home offers beyond any single appointment.

Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less.

Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent.

Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave. Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Dallas Uptown Endodontics located in Dallas?

What services does Dallas Uptown Endodontics offer?
Listed services at Dallas Uptown Endodontics include Root Canal Treatment. The full list is shown on this page.
How do I know if I need a root canal?
Common signs are lingering pain after something hot or cold, pain when biting down, a tooth that darkens, or a persistent pimple-like spot on the gum. Diagnosis needs an examination and usually an X-ray, since these can point to other problems too.
What happens if I do not get a root canal?
The infection inside the tooth does not resolve by itself. It typically progresses to an abscess and can spread into surrounding bone, and the tooth is far more likely to be lost. Extraction becomes the alternative once the tooth cannot be saved.
How often should I have a dental check-up?
Every six months suits most people. If you have gum disease or a history of decay a dentist may suggest coming more often. The point of regular visits is mostly to catch problems while they are still small and cheap to treat.

Dr. Sethi provides the highest level of care and endodontic skill I’ve ever experienced. From the moment I was admitted through the completion of my treatment, her team was knowledgeable, supportive, and deeply caring. They truly balance professional expertise with a personal touch.

Great experience! Was not looking forward to this appointment at all but staff was very welcoming, knowledgeable, and friendly. And most importantly they did a great job with the procedure itself. Would absolutely return if I needed future work done

Unfortunately, I had to have another root canal this year. Fortunately, Dr. Shaveta Sethi and her assistant were great again. Of course I was nervous once again, but Dr. Sethi is very good at alleviating those concerns. Hopefully, I don’t have to have another root canal but if I did I’ll be glad to continue to come here. All of the staff are very pleasant and are ready to assist. Christina that works the front desk is very knowledgeable, nice and is willing to explain financing options that are available to you as I was stressing about the cost. Thanks again everyone.

Had a root canal that came close to being a very big problem, but I was met with as much care with my tooth as they did with an explanation and solution for each step of the way, which made me feel extremely comfortable and in the right hands. If you’re a nervous person around needles and dental work like me, Dr. Sethi was just as quick as she is to poke as she is gentle with application, and the worries washed away just as fast. Even with a decent wait time I wasn’t bothered knowing I’m about to be met with expert care.

I was recommended to Dr. Sethi’s office after experiencing some aching in my tooth after a filling. Dr. Sethi examined my tooth and explained to me the process of a root canal. She answered all of my questions a made me feel at ease. Her team of dental assistants are great as well. They are kind and do a great job with communicating. Dr. Sethi completed the procedure and made sure that I was comfortable during the process. I would recommend this office not only for the experience but for the care. Thank you all for being so wonderful 💗
