About Highland Park Dental
Based on Hillcrest Avenue in the Park Cities area of Dallas, Texas, Highland Park Dental is a dental practice serving the area. Sedation dentistry uses inhaled, oral, or intravenous options to help patients relax through treatment, ranging from nitrous oxide for mild anxiety through to deeper sedation for longer or more involved procedures. It is commonly used for patients who have avoided the dentist for years due to fear.
Continuity matters in dental care — seeing the same practice over time means your history, X-rays, and any patterns in your oral health are already on file, rather than starting from scratch at each visit. That familiarity is part of what a regular dental home offers beyond any single appointment.
Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less.
Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent.
Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.
Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave. Such a great experience! Love the White Rock coffee after my appointment. Well played.
Becca has the gentlest hands I have encountered with a hygienist! She is so gentle that I actually dozed off a couple of times while she was working on my teeth.
Always courteous. It’s actually a fun visit! That’s crazy to say about the dentist.
Great care!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This review isn’t just about a dentist office… it’s about a love story. Let me explain. Like many failed relationships before it, I had a toxic relationship with a tooth. A bad experience with a previous dentist left me emotionally unavailable to dental work for quite some time. We ignored each other, avoided hard conversations, and just kept pretending everything was fine. Then I started dating an amazing woman… who quickly discovered I was still entertaining this toxic tooth relationship. Naturally, she demanded I end it immediately and “go get it handled like an adult.” So, wanting the best possible future for our relationship, I booked an appointment with Highland Park Dental. Now, I’m starting to think this may also be how my girlfriend vets future boyfriends. During the visit, Dr. Aaron Jones mentioned that I looked familiar, and I informed him I’m slowly learning she apparently has a type. Come to find out, she had sent a couple of her previous boyfriends there as well. After meeting me, I believe everyone in the office agreed she had finally upgraded from a boyfriend to a Man friend. Needless to say, despite walking in with low spirits and emotional baggage, Pita (the office manager), Dr. Aaron Jones, and the entire team treated me like royalty and got me completely taken care of. In all seriousness, they were absolutely incredible. Professional, welcoming, funny, reassuring, and genuinely caring from start to finish. It’s rare to find a dental office that makes you feel this comfortable and this well taken care of. So just like my new relationship… I feel extremely confident about our future together. P.S. This was the first time I ever listed someone as my emergency contact, so things are getting pretty serious around here.
I had crowns treatment done and the experience was excellent. The dentist paid attention to every small detail and ensured proper fit. The caring staff made the visit smooth. The clinic felt very comfortable and there was no unnecessary upselling.
UPDATE 3/6/26: Allow me to preface by saying that I’ve been in the medical aesthetics industry for over 8 years, so I’m extremely detail oriented and admittedly very picky when it comes to care and overall experience. That said, my overall experience at HP Dental has truly exceeded my expectations. Dr. Cortina is incredibly talented, patient, and down to earth. He takes the time to really listen, explains everything thoroughly, and offers thoughtful recommendations that align with my cosmetic and restorative dental needs. What has impressed me just as much is the consistency of the entire experience. The customer service, accommodations, and overall comfort the team provides make such a difference. Every visit feels intentional and well thought out. I’m genuinely impressed. Thank you HP Dental! My before and after results speak for themselves. --------------------- This was my first visit to HP Dental, and I was so impressed! The staff was exceptional—super thorough, patient, and knowledgeable. Everyone made me feel really comfortable and well taken care of. I’m excited to make this my new dental home!
Dr. Jones and his team are great!! Very humble guy and does phenomenal work. I could type up a book on how grateful I am to have him as a dentist but I’ll spare you the trouble of reading it all. And the free coffee just makes my day that much better! I hope they never stop doing that! It makes me look forward to going hehe!
I really hate dentists. Usually. This group was awesome. Addressed real issues, felt like they cared to make it as comfortable as possible, clean, technologically up to date. Very courteous and clear. Definitely my new dentist!
