About Highland Park Periodontics & Dental Implants

Based on Cole Avenue in the Knox / Henderson area of Dallas, Texas, Highland Park Periodontics & Dental Implants is a dental practice serving the area. Periodontics is the specialty focused on the gums and the bone supporting the teeth, handling more advanced gum disease, related surgical treatment, and — in many practices — dental implant placement, which sits naturally alongside that training.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.

Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.

A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.

Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit. For decades, I lived with a deep fear of going to the dentist, which caused me to put off treatment far longer than I should have. From my very first visit, Dr. Kaye and her staff completely changed that experience for me. They were professional, compassionate, and took the time to listen carefully to every concern I had. Their patience and understanding helped calm the anxiety I had carried for years and made me feel comfortable and confident throughout the process. Dr. Kaye thoroughly explained every step of the implant procedure, ensuring I understood what to expect and answering all of my questions. That level of communication and care made a tremendous difference in easing my fears. The outcome of my implant treatment has been life-changing. Not only has it improved my dental health and physical comfort, but it has also had a profound positive impact on my confidence and overall mental well-being. I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Kaye and her entire team for the exceptional care they provided and would highly recommend them to anyone, especially those who experience dental anxiety.

The whole staff is the absolute best! So compassionate! The dental hygienist is by far the best ever. Angela is the kindest most knowledgeable hygienist I’ve ever been to. And, she listens to every thing you have to say. She’s just precious! The office is incredible. The staff will make you feel so respected, and heard. Your voice matters here. . They truly care. And, Dr. Kaye is literally a blessing from God! No where else will you find better treatment than this office. I actually look forward going to my appointments, and leave feeling so good about myself, and my dental care. Their knowledge shows as their professionalism shines. Highly recommend!

I have now had two surgeries with Dr. Kaye and her team. I can’t speak highly enough about this group. They are all very kind, professional and explain everything throughout the process. At every follow up, I feel well taken care of and all of my questions answered. If you have to have periodontal work done, Dr. Kaye and her team is the way to go.

First visit: Dr. Aline Kaye provided an exceptionally thorough and methodical periodontal consultation. The visit included a comprehensive periodontal examination, detailed review of radiographs, and advanced 3D imaging analysis (CBCT-based visualization) to assess bone levels, defect morphology, and site-specific prognosis. Dr. Kaye systematically reviewed each area on the computer, correlating clinical findings with imaging, and clearly explained the biologic basis of periodontal disease progression, attachment loss, and treatment rationale. She discussed prognosis on a tooth-by-tooth basis, including distinctions between maintainable, questionable, and non-restorable teeth, and emphasized staged, evidence-based treatment planning rather than procedural urgency. The consultation was diagnostic, analytical, and focused on long-term predictability. Treatment options, sequencing, and risks were presented clearly, allowing for informed decision-making. The level of time spent, attention to detail, and use of advanced imaging technology was exemplary. I would highly recommend Dr. Kaye to anyone seeking high-level, evidence-based periodontal care.

After practicing dentistry for 43 years, I was forced to retire due to automobile accidents. Dr Lynette Page recommended seeing Dr. Kaye, who is a renowned periodontist. I had personally referred patients who needed implants for damaged teeth when I was a practicing dentist. I showed up one hour early for my appointment, her staff is incredible, and enabled me to not feel too guilty for having to adjust their schedule. Every staff member was incredibly friendly and helpful to create time for me. I am now going to have an implant done by someone I trust to do an excellent job. One of her staff even asked to walk me to my car in the garage. The staff was gifted and incredibly competent in their jobs. Thank you Dr. Kaye and your professional staff. - Dr. Rick Miller Retired Dentist
