About Kings County Dental Clinic

Kings County Dental Clinic operates in the Little Caribbean section of east-central Brooklyn, in the residential corridor where Caribbean immigrant communities have anchored multi-generational households for decades. The practice handles community-focused general dentistry — routine cleanings, fillings, crowns, and restorative work for a patient base where insurance coverage runs uneven and the practice's role often includes navigating cost across treatment options that vary in price.

Cavity work makes up a regular portion of the schedule. The team uses tooth-colored composite as the default material, with single-surface fillings, multi-surface restorations, replacement fillings when older work has failed, and the structural call between filling and crown when more tooth material has been lost. Beyond fillings, services include cleanings and exams, root canals, crowns and bridges, basic extractions, gum-disease screening, and emergency dental care. They'll discuss treatment-plan options across multiple price points when several clinically reasonable paths exist, which matters more in a community where many patients pay substantial portions out of pocket.

If you've been postponing dental work because you weren't sure how to navigate the cost conversation, a community-focused practice usually opens that discussion early rather than waiting until after the work is recommended.

Patients searching for family dental practice in Brooklyn, affordable family dental care in Brooklyn, or family dentist in Brooklyn who live in East Flatbush, Crown Heights, or Brownsville often choose practices like this one for the community fit and the cost-aware treatment planning. Kings County Dental fits that local model. The new-patient exam combines comprehensive radiographs, periodontal screening, and a treatment-plan walkthrough at a pace that leaves room for cost questions before work is scheduled. For Little Caribbean and surrounding-area families picking a regular general dental home, this neighborhood clinic is a reasonable first appointment. For patients who grind their teeth or notice signs of nighttime clenching, flagging it at the new-patient exam matters more than most realize, since wear patterns affect filling material choices and crown planning over time.

Patients looking for cosmetic dentistry on East 39th Street in Brooklyn, New York can consider Kings County Dental Clinic, which lists it among its treatments. The practice is open Monday through Friday. Full service details and contact options are available on this page.

How can you keep people waiting since 5 a.m. in the 21st century? How can this even be called an emergency? I was sent there in severe pain for a tooth extraction because I'm pregnant; other providers don't accept pregnant women. I thought it would be safer to go to the hospital, but this is just awful. If someone is in unbearable pain and can't take painkillers, they just have to wait. It's like they don't know what a dental emergency is.

Service sucked They apparently changed the rules for the dental department with no warning I was outside from 5:45 and they didn’t let me in because they only take 20 people a day even though when I called this wasn’t what they told me over the phone

The line is no joke. Get there early. I got there at 5:55 AM and was 25th in line. I didn’t get my wisdom tooth removed until around 2 PM. The staff were very helpful and friendly and answered all of my questions. If I had to do it again I would get there at 5.

I went to get extraction done and I have nothing but good things to say about this place . Yes like the other reviews said you have to be up very early to be able to be able to get a number and be seen . It does take time even after you have a number. All the staff were really nice and the Dr was great . I have to have some more work done so I will be back .

For weeks I had wisdom tooth pain and I finally decided to go get it taken care of. Make sure you go early! I got to Kings County Hospital around 5:30-5:35AM and there was already 13 people in front of me, plus it was freezing cold! The security guard let us into the building around 6:30AM where we were instructed to make a line for when it was time to get a number to go to the dental clinic. We were given numbers around 7:15AM and the clinic opened promptly at 8AM; I registered after 9AM (I was #14.) Got called in after 10:30AM where I met Dr. Eda Zhang and she was very nice and explained the procedure in detail for the extraction. She made sure I was completely comfortable, asking me if I was in any pain after given anesthesia and during the tooth extraction. I wasn't in any pain and in less than 5 minutes after a few pulls and loosening the tooth, my wisdom tooth was out. The one thing I wished Kings County Hospital changed is that people have to be outside so early in the morning, freezing cold or not, to get extractions done. I wish you can make an appointment for that, but if that works for them, I guess other people is ok with it.

Had a great experience at Kings County Dentist - definitely a 10/10! I got there around 5:45 AM and was 8th in line. The female hospital police officer was really nice and let us inside around 6 AM since it was cold out. By 9 AM we started registering, and by 9:30 I was getting my X-rays done. About 15 minutes later I saw Dr. Cam and his assistant - both were super kind, patient, and explained everything clearly. The whole procedure took less than 8 minutes, and I was out by 10 AM. I didn't have insurance at the time and only paid $123, which was very fair. Don't let the negative reviews fool you - go see for yourself. My experience was smooth, quick, and professional!

Today I visited and I was extremely upset !! I got there at 5am and don’t get seen until after 4. However the surgeons Dr mcgough and Dr Arron Martin were super amazing !! They were attentive and calm . They walked me through everything even held my hands . I was happy to have female surgeon to make me more relaxed . However if you’re doing a walk in get there by 4am no lie to get on the line because it will be a wait x and if you could request these two doctors definitely ask … !! So happy man the pain is gone !!

Lots of positive energy at this clinic. the young residents and up and coming dentists definitley give it their best! They extracted a moler which was not an easy job to put it mildly. It was not fun to get it pulled but i actually felt more bad for the team. That’s hard work and takes a lot of skill! Getting in touch to get an appointment is virtually impossible. I have called 8 times just to notify thrm to call me and have never been called back. This is what happens when the clientelle is low income!
