About New York periodontics and implants group

New York periodontics and implants group is a dental practice on Joralemon Street in Brooklyn, New York. A dental implant replaces a missing tooth at the root, not just the crown — a small titanium post is placed in the jaw bone and, once it has integrated over a period of months, a replacement tooth is attached to it. It is generally the most durable option for a single missing tooth or several.

Gum disease treatment ranges from a deeper professional cleaning for early inflammation through to more involved periodontal care once bone around the teeth has started to be affected. Bleeding gums are usually the earliest sign, and the early stage is reversible with proper cleaning and better daily plaque control.

Periodontics is the specialty focused on the gums and the bone supporting the teeth, handling more advanced gum disease, related surgical treatment, and — in many practices — dental implant placement, which sits naturally alongside that training.

Bone grafting rebuilds jaw bone that has shrunk after a tooth has been missing for a while, most often as preparation for a dental implant that needs sufficient volume to anchor into. Healing generally takes several months before further treatment can proceed.

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.

Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost. This page has the practice's contact details and full service list. If your looking for the best periodontal dr in the business then look no further, dr askari and his assistants are on another level. I've been going here for years because I have complete trust in their work . I recently had an emergency where I had lost a tooth and ran to his office without a appointment and instead of him making me get an appointment or just modifying the existing flipper he replaced it completely with a new one . I couldn't recommend enough! Tell em you saw my post !

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Desai and her staff. Their care, patience, compassion, and professionalism were outstanding. As a patient with anxiety, I felt truly listened to, respected, and comfortable throughout my visit. The front desk staff went above and beyond to clear up my insurance issues, making the entire process seamless and stress-free. I highly recommend Dr. Desai and her team to anyone who is nervous about dental work—definitely a 5-star experience.

Doctors Askari, Desai and Pandya are the most pleasant and professional dentists I have ever encountered. I have done three implants with them and have not had any issues whatsoever. If needed, I will not hesitate to use them in the future.

I was a patient here maybe 1 year ago. This place was under construction. My experience was far from great. There’s was no privacy. You can be sitting in the waiting area and can hear and see what the doctor and patient is doing. The rooms is small. The entire staff is rude and unprofessional, especially Front desk. 2 visits and never returned. I expressed my dissatisfaction and they was still calling hoping I had a change of heart. I wouldn’t recommend this place and I’m surprised reading some of the reviews. Sounds like discount service for reviews. This Dentistry is money hungry and would charge up your insurance doing unnecessary work.

Highly Recommend! Dr. Askari was very thorough, efficient and just amazing overall. I was really scared and nervous, shaking in my sandals. Surgery can be very intimidating. He and the staff made me feel really comfortable and at ease. I was seen right away! I got a lot accomplished in one visit thanks to him. And with no pain! I can’t believe it! Excellent communication. Let me know what to expect. He checked on me several times throughout, kept asking if I was okay? So grateful for that. The entire staff is very professional and informative. From the front desk to the aftercare. The office is very clean and there’s lots of sunlight shining in. It’s a very good place.
