About NY Dental Boutique

NY Dental Boutique is a dental practice on Coney Island Avenue in Brooklyn, New York. Holistic, or biological, dentistry applies standard dental diagnosis and treatment within an approach that emphasises material choice and conservative treatment, considering oral health as connected to the body more broadly rather than treating the mouth in isolation.

Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent.

Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.

Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.

A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward. Where is NY Dental Boutique located in Brooklyn?
NY Dental Boutique is on Coney Island Avenue in Brooklyn, New York (11230).
What days is NY Dental Boutique open?

What services does NY Dental Boutique offer?

Is biological or holistic dentistry more expensive?
It can be, since ceramic and composite materials and more conservative techniques sometimes cost more than the cheapest alternative. Pricing varies by practice, so it is worth asking directly rather than assuming.
What is the difference between holistic and cosmetic dentistry?
They overlap but are not the same thing. Cosmetic dentistry is about appearance specifically, while holistic dentistry is a broader philosophy about material choice and treating the mouth as connected to overall health, which can apply to any treatment including cosmetic work.
Why do dentists take X-rays?
Decay between teeth and problems below the gumline are invisible to the naked eye, so X-rays are what reveal them. Modern digital images use a low dose and are taken only when clinically justified.

Update: I’ve recently had an absolutely horrific experience with this place. Completely unprofessional, immature staff, and incompetent. Completely messed up my teeth and poor communication. Save yourself and go somewhere else. I cannot recommend running away from this place enough.

I highly recommend Dr. Lisa. She took the time to address all of my concerns and answered every question I had. She was incredibly caring, compassionate, and friendly, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire visit. I truly appreciated her professionalism and the time she spent ensuring I understood everything.

Honestly such a great experience. The whole office is super friendly and makes you feel comfortable right away. The staff was patient, helpful, and everything ran really smoothly. Dr Kohanbash was amazing, she was so gentle, explained everything in a way that actually made sense, and never made me feel rushed or pressured. You can really tell they care about their patients and want people to have a good experience. Definitely happy I found this office and would absolutely recommend them to family and friends.

I set them as my primary care dentist, which turned out to be a big mistake. You have to wait at least a month to get an appointment, and it seems like they’re always very busy. Sometimes no one picks up the phone, and when they do, you’re often put on hold while talking to them. The service isn’t great, and it doesn’t feel like they’re very experienced. It gives the impression that they’re more interested in making money than actually solving your dental issues.

The doctors are really good but the secretarial service is very bad! They have no service at all, they make you wait on the phone for an hour or they hang up, the lines are very long! And after I waited more than 3 months they didn't want to see me because they didn't inform me that next month they won't accept my insurance!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The owner is absolutely amazing. Such a pleasure to work with her! I went in for a deep cleaning and officially started my smile journey, and I couldn’t be happier. They were gentle, professional, and explained everything clearly. You can tell they genuinely care about their patients and their work.
