About OakHeights Dental

OakHeights Dental operates on South R L Thornton Freeway in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, Texas. Clear aligners straighten teeth through a series of custom, removable trays, each worn for one to two weeks before moving to the next in the sequence. They suit mild to moderate crowding and spacing well, and are worn roughly twenty to twenty-two hours a day for treatment to stay on schedule.

Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.

Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.

A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.

Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not. This page has the practice's contact details and full service list. Get in touch through it to ask questions or book a visit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is OakHeights Dental located in Dallas?
OakHeights Dental is on South R L Thornton Freeway in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, Texas (75203).
What days is OakHeights Dental open?
OakHeights Dental is open Monday through Friday. Contact the practice through this page to confirm current appointment times before travelling.
What services does OakHeights Dental offer?
Listed services at OakHeights Dental include Invisalign. The full list is shown on this page.
Do clear aligners hurt?
There is usually pressure and mild tenderness for a day or two each time you move to a new aligner in the series. That sensation is the teeth moving, and it typically eases as you get through each stage.
Can clear aligners fix any orthodontic problem?
They handle mild to moderate crowding and spacing well. Complex bite corrections and large tooth movements are still often better suited to fixed braces, which is something an assessment will clarify.
How can I look after my teeth between appointments?
Brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste and cleaning between the teeth daily covers most of it. Limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount consumed.

I had an appointment here at 1:20pm as a new patient. They took me back promptly, but after scanning and doing x-rays on my teeth, I sat in the chair for a whole hour before the dentist came to talk to me about my x-rays. I could literally see people driving in, coming back, and driving off as I was just sitting there waiting. The actual consultation was quick (which was expected), but why did it take an hour just for her to talk to me for 7 minutes and bang on my tooth? I am pretty sure they forgot about me as the dentist did not come speak to me until there was pretty much no one left in the office but me. They were also supposed to call me the following business day to schedule me with their referred endodontist. It's been three weeks and never heard anything. I was not impressed. This whole appointment took just over 2 hours, and I sat and waited for one of those. Complete waste of time. Going to a different dentist. They did call me a day or two after I posted this review to basically confront me about it lol but not to schedule me with the endodontist. Which according to two other dentists, I didn’t even need, so the consult I got here was not accurate either.

My experience here was very pleasant. Scheduled my appointment online after I checked in I was taking to the back to get started on why I was there. I had a cleaning done and fixed a chipped tooth. All was fast and had no pain. Definitely plan on coming back for my continuou cleanings.

Natalie was so nice and made me feel comfortable during my exam and while taking pictures of my mouth, which is something I’m very insecure about. I really appreciate her kindness and patience. Thank you for having someone so sweet and caring on your staff.

This was probably one of the best dental experiences I have had. I had two fillings done but had been traumatized by a previous dental experience. They gave me nitrous oxide and I listened to my own musuc with air pods. With the blanket and head pillow I felt very comfortable. I'll see how my crown goes, but the two fillings were great and both the doctor and the assistant were perfect.

Really appreciate Nemo and Dr. Burket! Very professional, welcoming, and efficient office. They have same week appointments usually available which is great when you have a busy schedule. Got in for a cleaning and exam very quickly, with a same day appointment after being seen as a first patient.

Today my husband and I had our first appointment at the clinic. Everyone was very nice and kind to us both! They made sure we were always comfortable. I was offered a blanket , music and TV to make sure I was comfortable in my chair. We also got a gift for it being our first time there! They scheduled referrals for me and follow up appointments on the spot! The clinic itself is super clean. It’s a 10/10 for me and I’m looking forward to making this our new dentist!

Great place to take care of your teeth. Dr Bee and Nataly were great! Everyone was great! They offered a blankie, gave me the remote for the TV, and even asked if the temperature was right! Prices are also very fair and they take insurance. The scheduling staff is super polite, too. They always answer "how may I brighten your smile today"? Everyone is very caring and professional.
