About Refuah Family Dental
Refuah Family Dental operates on New Utrecht Avenue in Brooklyn, New York. A mouth guard protects the teeth during sport or, in a night guard form, from the effects of grinding during sleep. A custom-fitted guard, made from a mould of your own teeth, stays in place and protects considerably better than a generic store-bought version.
Comprehensive care generally means a practice can handle most of a patient's dental needs in-house — preventive, restorative, and often minor cosmetic or surgical treatment — reducing how often patients are referred elsewhere for routine work.
Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less.
Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent.
Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.
Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave. Always a pleasant experience coming to Refuah Dental. Dr. A and staff are helpful, friendly, punctual and the office is always clean!
I have all the confidence in Dr. O and his staff. He is a master at his profession
I always have a pleasant experience each time I come to my 6 months cleaning. I am glad I found this dental office years ago. The receptionist/assistant is so polite and Dr. Arastehmanesh is very pleasant and professional. The office is super clean and has this calming vibe and music that helps a lot especially when you feel nervous like me about going to Drs offices.
Excellent quick service. Fantastic office!
05/29/2026 --- It seemed like the receptionist was performing face-checking and didn't like my face. When I asked what insurance the doctor (not she) accepted, she responded curtly, denying me on one count, even though I have several plans and three cards in hand. She didn't ask if I had been a client of the doctor before. I had. Having worked next door to this office for 27 years, I had no idea that Borough Park tolerated this, and even rated it at the highest level, for no apparent reason.
I came for a tooth that cracked. The dentist analyzed the situation and recommended the best solution which for me was bonding. He did an expert job in record time. With taking complete X-rays I was in and out in less than an hour. The best.
The best dentist in town! Dr. Arastehmanesh is a true professional. Great work and very pleasant and kind. Highly recommend
I chipped my front tooth and was happy to find a dentist who could see me the next morning since my usual dentist was out of town & many dentists were closed for the December holiday. Dr. Arastehmanesh explained my options and I opted for tooth bonding. The repair was pain-free and perfectly matched the rest of the tooth, restoring my smile.
Honestly the best dentist ever! I've been going to him since I was a kid. Even getting older, I would try other dentists closer to me, but then realize he really is the best so its worth the travel, I always find myself coming back and for the past few years, I've stayed put!
