About Tend Dental Cobble Hill
Tend Dental Cobble Hill provides dental care on Court Street in Brooklyn, New York. Sedation dentistry uses inhaled, oral, or intravenous options to help patients relax through treatment, ranging from nitrous oxide for mild anxiety through to deeper sedation for longer or more involved procedures. It is commonly used for patients who have avoided the dentist for years due to fear.
Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.
Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.
Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.
A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.
Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not. This page has the practice's contact details and full service list. Get in touch through it to ask questions or book a visit.

Clean. Efficient. Modern.
Tend is clean and efficient dental office in Cibble Hill. The Techs were extremely kind and sweet to my son on his first visit. The attending Denist was informative and efficient. She explained what she was going to do before doing it. It was a pleasant experience. Highly Recommended
I have been trying to get medical documentation from tend for a week. I've called four times. The most recent time I was on hold for 30 minutes and then had an automated message tell me my call could not be taken at this time.
I’ve been a patient at Tend’s Cobble Hill practice for several years. It’s the first dental practice where I have ever looked forward to my appointments. The place is clean and they have state of the art technology. The staff consistently takes great care of my specific dental needs.
I can not say enough positive things about Dr. G and the entire team at the Tend in Cobble Hill. I feel like people only leave reviews when bad things happen so I just wanted to put my two cents in for excellent patient care. I had a chipped tooth that needed a crown. Dr. G took the time to explain to me what happened, look at images with me, and fixed my tooth. The entire team was extremely helpful and reassuring while I was there. I had the best possible experience you can have at the dentist and I can’t recommend them enough! Thank you thank you!
Dr.Stalnaker, Allysha, Britania!!. Big Thank-you!!. Today, I was Prepped with the Utmost Care ,Patience and Detail of My Root Canal. Thank-you Soo Much to All of you for making what I thought a bad situation into a Comforting and Awesome Dentist Visit. Definitely will be coming back!.
Sadly, Tend appears to be something of a racket. I’ve been seeing them for several years, and although there are many plusses (kind, gentle hygienists, clean office, convenient), they constantly try to upsell you. It’s one thing when it’s clearly cosmetic (“make that smile perfect!”), which is easy enough to refuse - it’s another when they attempt to scare you into getting treatment claiming if you don’t, your teeth will be permanently damaged, which also has happened with them pushing night guards & Invisalign. I’d sort of resigned myself to the constant sales pitch, but last week they unequivocally crossed the line. I went in for a cleaning and x-rays - both handled really well, gentle, etc - and then saw the dentist, who tapped away at a tooth and started circling things on the x-ray, telling me that an onlay — which Tend had installed less than 3 years ago!! - was “crumbling” and would need not just a small filling, or even a replacement, but a full crown. She also said there was another large filling (also done by Tend in the past few years) that was “falling apart” and would need total replacement. I have no pain in those teeth, no indication anything is wrong. So I got a second opinion - very reputable prosthodontist, 27 years of practice, has done over 20,000 crowns - who confirmed that my teeth are in excellent shape, my mouth, bone and gums are all super healthy - and that I don’t need any dental work. He said MAYBE we would eventually need to do a small filling in part of that onlay - but not a whole onlay, never mind a crown, and nothing immediately. I don’t know what financial pressure the Tend dentists are under to find additional revenue - but it’s not what I want from a medical provider, no matter how friendly they are. Disappointed beyond words and putting this out there to help others.
Tend is always amazing about pain management and comfort in general. Big shout out to the assistant today who literally held my hand during some painful injections -- not anyone's fault that they were painful, just had to occur in a tender area. Sorry I can't remember her name, but she's a hijabi lady with beautiful eyes. Dr. Stalnaker was also really informative and had a great touch, plus she got back to me super quickly after I left and sent her an email. I will say: Sometimes I find the treatment planning a little annoying because aspects of the plan can get overlooked (a scan here with separate charges, a step in a multi-step plan forgotten, etc.) and I often end up encountering price adjustments that cost me more. That said, I'd rather experience human error in billing than human error in the actual dentistry. It's not a perfect experience, but what is? The work they do is good and I appreciate that they can work with my dental anxiety. Thanks, guys.
From the user experience and design of the check-in all the way to the actual service in the room this was a five star experience. You’ll be greeted by a friendly staff and a beautiful lobby where they ask you if you’d like to begin by brushing your teeth and using the restroom Where you enter a room that is a thoughtfully designed brush station with just a brush and toothpaste rather than a bunch of unnecessary junk. The hygienist and dentist are both friendly and professional. Other practices I feel like you’re listening to folks talk recent gossip for 20 minutes get out the door. I highly recommend content people looking for a good practice overall
The RDH Johanna explain everything & made the whole cleaning process very smooth. She is very knowledgeable & kind. I’m very thankful for being recommended to this spot, the staff & everyone were kind. I see why there’s always people coming in here for their regular check ups & cleanings. Would highly recommend to anyone & once again, thank you Johanna for the support & dental care!
