About Texas Center for Oral Surgery & Dental Implants

Texas Center for Oral Surgery & Dental Implants operates on Preston Road in the Far North Dallas area of Dallas, Texas. Wisdom teeth are removed when they are impacted, repeatedly infected, decayed, or damaging the tooth in front, since they arrive last and often into a jaw with no room left. Not every wisdom tooth needs to come out — one that erupts cleanly and can be kept clean is often left alone.

Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.

A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.

Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit. What services does Texas Center for Oral Surgery & Dental Implants offer?

What age is best to have wisdom teeth taken out?
Late teens to early twenties is often easier, because the roots are less fully formed and bone is more forgiving, so healing tends to be quicker. Removal is still routinely done later when there is a reason for it.
How long is recovery after wisdom tooth removal?
Most of the swelling and discomfort settles within about a week, with the first two or three days the most noticeable. Surgical removal of an impacted tooth generally takes longer to recover from than a simple extraction.
How can I look after my teeth between appointments?
Brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste and cleaning between the teeth daily covers most of it. Limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount consumed.

Had a wonderful experience with Texas Oral Surgery, the nurses were extremely nice and caring and Dr. Sehbi was nice and professional as well. They sent the correct medicine to my pharmacy and provided pre and post operative videos. Exceptional care! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Originally, we came to Dr. Sehbi for wisdom tooth removal and a potential dental implant. However, despite the fact that an implant would have been more financially for his practice, Dr. Sehbi recommended a Maryland Bridge instead. He took the time to explain that, in my daughter’s case, an implant could involve unnecessary complications, a lengthy process, and additional challenges that he felt would not be in her best interest. When it came for my daughter’s wisdom tooth extraction, Dr. Sehbi was attentive to all of our concerns and made us feel well informed and comfortable throughout the process. He even took the time to personally call us that evening to check on my daughter’s recovery. In addition, he provided us with a direct number to reach him in case of any emergencies. The entire staff was also wonderful. Everyone was kind, attentive, and professional, and they went out of their way to make my daughter feel comfortable before her surgery. She was understandably nervous, and the staff’s reassurance, patience, and compassion helped put her at ease. Dr. Sehbi is an exceptionally kind and compassionate physician who consistently puts his patients’ well-being first. His professionalism, honesty, and genuine care are evident in every interaction. I cannot recommend him and his team highly enough.

I had a great experience with Texas Center for Oral Surgery and Dental Implants for my tooth extraction. Dr. Sehbi was professional and efficient and his assistants (I can't remember their name) were amazing, they made me feel so relaxed and safe before the procedure. The surgery was success. I hardly had any pain afterwards. The staffs were incredibly welcoming and the office was clean. I highly recommend them to anyone.

Dr. Anver and his team are absolutely incredible. Wisdom teeth surgery was my first surgery. I had my surgery on last Monday. The Thursday beforehand is when I started having pain on my right side. I did research and they came up at the top of my list. I'm glad I went with them. The surgery was successful. The post operation steps were very comprehensive and I feel so much better. Highly recommend!

I got all four of my wisdoms removed and when I say they did a great job they truly did. It only took 30 mins. I’m on day three of my healing process and I’ve had very minor swelling and of course my jaw is sore but honestly my healing process hasn’t been bad at all. It’s better than I expected. The office was comfortable, they offered me and my mom a blanket and the staff was sweet. Like I said the surgery was quick, I arrived at 1:30 PM and left by like 2:15 PM. They were awesome!
