Brooklyn Heights cosmetic and general practice
Smyleee Rating
Very Good
Signature Smile General & Cosmetic Dentistry's Brooklyn Heights office sits on Pineapple Walk in the historic district near the Promenade, a few blocks from the Brooklyn Bridge entrance. The practice combines general dentistry with cosmetic services — the format means the same office handles routine cleanings and fillings alongside aesthetic work like veneers, whitening, and cosmetic restorative cases without sending patients to separate specialty offices for the cosmetic side.
Cavity work covers the routine general-dentistry range. The team uses tooth-colored composite as the default material, with single-surface and multi-surface restorations, replacement fillings, and the call between filling and crown when tooth structure has been more significantly compromised. Beyond fillings, services include cleanings, root canals, crowns and bridges, extractions, gum-disease screening, and the cosmetic side — porcelain veneers, in-office and at-home whitening, and aesthetic crowns. They'll discuss whether a routine fix or a cosmetic-grade restoration is the right call for visible front teeth, where appearance matters as much as the structural repair.
If you've put off front-tooth dental work because you weren't sure whether to combine the structural fix with cosmetic improvement, a practice that handles both makes the planning conversation simpler.
Patients searching for general dentist near me in Brooklyn, family dentist in Brooklyn, or general dentistry in Brooklyn, NY who live or work near Brooklyn Heights, DUMBO, or Downtown Brooklyn often weigh practices like this one when both routine and cosmetic care might be on the schedule eventually. Signature Smile's Brooklyn Heights office fits that combined-services model. The new-patient exam covers comprehensive X-rays, periodontal screening, and a treatment-plan review before any restorative or cosmetic work is scheduled. For Brooklyn Heights and downtown-adjacent residents picking a regular dental practice, this Pineapple Walk office is a reasonable starting point. Bringing prior X-rays and treatment records from a previous dentist usually saves a redundant imaging round at the new-patient exam and gives the team baseline context to compare against current findings.
Signature Smile General & Cosmetic Dentistry's Brooklyn Heights office handles general care alongside cosmetic services — cleanings, fillings, crowns, and aesthetic dental work in one practice.

General dentistry at this Brooklyn Heights practice covers routine exams, cleanings, fillings, and decay prevention — the everyday care that keeps a smile healthy.
Professional dental cleanings remove the plaque and tartar that brushing misses, protecting the gums and helping the dentist catch early decay.
Cosmetic dentistry improves the appearance of a smile through treatments such as teeth whitening and veneers, planned around each patient's goals.
Crowns and bridges restore damaged or missing teeth — a crown caps a weakened tooth, while a bridge spans the gap left by lost teeth.
Emergency dental care addresses urgent problems such as a severe toothache, a broken tooth, or a lost filling, with prompt attention to relieve pain.

I’ve sat on this for about a year now. My husband walked in for a routine cleaning, and walked out two root canals later. Come to find out the dentist failed to crown the tooth after and now my husband is dealing with a terrible infection that we are in the process of trying to rectify. I just want to emphasize how utterly abnormal this is; no one should walk in for a routine cleaning and walk out with two root canals afterwards. Since we went here together, my first appointment was for a routine cleaning, and dental X-rays. I complained about pain in my wisdom region but they said based on the x rays I was fine. I needed a follow up appointment for a mouthguard fitting which was fine. For some reason, full x rays were again taken. A phone call later I was told I too would need a root canal. As someone already very skeptical of root canals, my spidey senses went up. Upon a second opinion turns out just a tooth was chipped, likely from clutching. No root canal was needed. Unfortunately I cannot turn back the clock for my husband. But hopefully this puts the practice on notice as well as prospective patients. I feel confident that they are guilty of negligence, and take advantage of insurance when able. Go elsewhere.
Pushy with Invisalign, cleanings are rushed, and Inna Trogan completely butchered my wife’s gums when she rushed through the placement of her crowns, then over-filed said crowns until you could see the metal underneath. My wife went through an immense amount of pain and suffering at the hands of Inna Trogan. Pretty sure this one qualifies as dental negligence. Pictures are from day of crown placement and 16 days later. My colleagues have also been here and felt their regular cleanings and deep cleanings were rushed, and were pushed to get Invisalign before other medically necessary treatments. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
They do such an amazing job. I have no problems with the work that they did on my teeth root canals, and inlays are definitely their specialty there. It’s wonderful to have no pain when I eat thank you. Amazing work !!!!!!!! Two years later teeth are still doing good. I’m keeping up with my cleanings and Signature smile has been taking care of my teeth. I have no problems.
Very helpful for all things! Love the kindness of the women run dentistry and Pineapple Walk is in a cute area. Happy with my Invisalign treatment.
As the other reviwers suggested - this dentist tries to upsell you on all the extras - specially Invisalign. It was uncomfortable sitting there. I went back to my old dentist back home and asked her about the three suggested procedures and she said they are not necessary.
