Front teeth carry the whole conversation. A chipped central incisor, a lateral that sits behind the arch, or an old bonded repair that has darkened at its margin will pull your attention every time you see a photograph of yourself. Those are three different problems with three different answers, and only one of them is necessarily solved with veneers.
Sapphire Smiles works out of Suite 210 at 2522 Yale Street in the Houston Heights, a few blocks from the White Oak corridor and easy to reach from Northside, Woodland Heights and downtown. Dr. Mina Antoun and Dr. Mary Antoun lead the practice alongside Dr. Sarah Stuart and Dr. Ernest Erian. The office opened in 2020 and leans deliberately toward the cosmetic end of dentistry, with porcelain veneers, smile makeovers, Invisalign and whitening sitting next to restorative work such as implants, full-arch all-on-X cases, crowns and periodontal therapy. Cone beam CT imaging and laser treatment are used in diagnosis and gum work. In-office consultations are complimentary, and patients travelling from out of town can begin with a paid virtual consultation before committing to the trip. The schedule includes a full Saturday from 9am to 4pm, unusual for a cosmetic-led practice and useful when weekday time is not available; Wednesday and Sunday are closed.
Two honest constraints belong on the table before any cosmetic plan starts. Bleaching acts on enamel alone and does nothing to anything fabricated in a lab or cured from a syringe, so sequence decides the outcome: lighten the natural teeth first, let the tone settle, and have veneers, crowns or bonding matched to where it finished rather than to where it started. And veneers usually involve removing a thin layer of enamel, which cannot be replaced. Where crowding or rotation is the actual complaint, aligner treatment first often means less porcelain later, sometimes none at all.
General dentistry has not been dropped for the sake of the cosmetic menu. Checkups, cleanings, root canals and wisdom tooth extraction are handled in the same building, with comfort touches such as overhead screens and headphones that make a long veneer appointment easier to sit through than it sounds on paper.
